(San Diego, California) -- In between the practices of the NFL's annual all-star game, the San Diego Chargers will be hitting the road to attend several college baseball events in Arizona.

The Chargers will attend three different competitions on their way to Tempe, Arizona for the all-star game this weekend.

With Alex Cappa and five other pitchers on the roster, the team will face the University of Arizona at Phoenix's Tech School, Arizona State University and the University of Arizona.

The Chargers will start their trip off on Friday by facing Arizona State, defeating the Sun Devils 7-0. On Saturday, the team will play Tech School in the early game and Arizona for a second time in the afternoon.

San Diego will finish the road trip on Sunday by playing Arizona for the second time in the day. In the early game, the Chargers will beat the Wildcats 6-5.

The Chargers have been playing baseball this spring as a part of their offseason program. Head coach Anthony Lynn said it will be fun playing the game in Arizona.

"Having gone there [College World Series], you get a feel for the baseball and the atmosphere," Lynn said. "There's nothing like being in college baseball and playing against Arizona. They've had some good success there and we're looking forward to it."

The Chargers will have to go through elimination games to reach the College World Series.

If the Chargers do advance, they'll likely face either LSU or Oklahoma State, who met in the semifinals of the College World Series.Q:
